Our Fee Structure

Metropolitan Anaesthesia is owned by the doctors, for doctors. As a not-for-profit group, 100% of the rooms fee that you pay goes towards the running of the business. The fee is calculated as a percentage of your billings, which you pay in arrears. There is a salary cap, over which, you will have to pay no extra in fees, but this is set quite high, and only a few doctors may reach it an any given time. The actual percentage rate is calculated quarterly, to cover expenses, and is competitive with other service providers. We don’t look to cut corners to make profit. We are committed to providing the highest level of service to make your life easier.

There are no “extras” you need to pay for. The flat rate covers all services including in-rooms / video consulting, including its coordination, all invoicing (including prepayments for invoice shortfalls (gaps)), all debt recovery up until debt collector, and calendar management. We host 2 social functions per year, at various high-end venues (e.g., in 2022 we went to Flight Club darts pub for a fun night out mid-year, and Long Chim for our Christmas function) and so we offer a strong collegiality between our doctors and our staff. We provide all financial summaries so that you can track your finances, and to help at tax time. This is all included.

The only other things you will need to pay for is your software, which is $142 per month, and debt collection fees from our 3rd party service that we use. Thankfully, we don’t have to use them much at all.

Full Service – Metropolitan prides itself on being a full-service provider to our doctors. We have a team of around 8 loyal staff, most who have been with us for many years, who take great pride in their work, and go above and beyond to look after their doctors. We provide a lot of flexibility in how you want us to work for you.  You will be allocated a personal secretary, and they will learn how you want to work.
