Hi, my name is Dr. Ed Halvey, and I will be your anaesthetist. Anaesthetists are doctors with specialist training who:
- Discuss with you the types of anaesthetic that are suitable for your operation.
- Help you choose the most appropriate option if there are choices available and explain the risks, benefits, and alternatives.
- Agree on a plan with you for your anaesthetic and pain control afterwards.
- Administer your anaesthetic and are responsible for your safety and wellbeing throughout your surgery and in the recovery room.
Once my rooms receive your procedure information, they will provide you with a quotation for my services, so you’ll know what costs to expect—no surprises. Please note that from November 2024, I will no longer be an HBF preferred provider.
