Dr Cristina Cilla Revenga is a senior Consultant Anaesthetist with over 20 years of experience, based in Perth, WA.
Cristina is a Specialist Anaesthetist both in Europe and Australia. She completed her Medical Degree in 2000 and her Anaesthetic training in a major tertiary hospital in Barcelona (Bellvitge University Hospital), Spain, in 2005, where she worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist until 2009. She completed two Fellowships in teaching hospitals in Perth (Simulation at Fremantle Hospital and Obstetric Anaesthesia at King Edwards Memorial Hospital) and became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2012.
She has held a full-time position at Fiona Stanley and at Fremantle Hospitals, where she was the Simulation Education Fellowship Supervisor and one of the members of the Hands Trauma Unit. She has advanced skills in regional anaesthesia and has completed the Post-graduate Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound awarded by the University of Melbourne. She has been actively involved in Crisis Management teaching and in caring for trauma and emergency patients.
Now she works mostly in private hospitals in Perth, alternating her private practice with her continuing commitment to providing excellence in anaesthesia care and teaching in country locations. She anaesthetises for all surgical specialties except for cardio-thoracics.
Cristina has the skills and the character to provide expert, empathetic, compassionate and safe care in your anaesthetic journey. She will review your medical history before your procedure and plan for a safe and uneventful anaesthetic. She may ring you before your anaesthetic (if necessary) to discuss any issues and will see you in hospital on the day of your surgery. Please complete the Patient Health Questionnaire as soon as possible in order for your Anaesthetic care plan to be arranged.
