Dr Celine Baber is a specialist anaesthetist who trained in New Zealand and Australia. She completed subspecialty fellowships in General Surgery anaesthesia, High Risk Obstetric anaesthesia and a Research Fellowship, gaining her FANZCA in 2009. She has worked as a consultant anaesthetist in Auckland and Perth since then, having moved back to Perth permanently in 2017.
Dr Baber practiced in the public health sector as a consultant anaesthetist for over 10 years and is now in full private practice. She is the Head of Department for Subiaco SJOG Obstetric Anaesthesia and chairs the Blood Management Committee. She is also an examiner for the primary anaesthesia specialist examinations through the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA). She has set up an MRI sedation list at SKG radiology for outpatients with claustrophobia. She currently works regularly in colorectal, obstetrics, gynaecology, breast, MRI sedation and dental.
Dr Baber is currently completing a masters in Bioethics through the University of Sydney and has a Diploma in Clinical Ultrasound. She is a reviewer of papers for the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Journal.
