Dr Sam Lillywhite is a consultant anaesthetist working with Metropolitan Anaesthesia and at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. He completed his medical training in the United Kingdom, graduating from the University of Cambridge and University College London. He undertook seven years of specialist training in the South West of England and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) in 2023. He subsequently gained Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2024.
Dr Lillywhite has a strong interest in medical education. He completed a Master’s degree in the subject in 2015 and has previously served as a council member for the Society of Education in Anaesthesia. He remains actively involved in the teaching and supervision of trainee anaesthetists.
He is experienced in all areas of anaesthetic practice, with particular interests in airway management and anaesthesia for vascular surgery. Dr Lillywhite will contact you prior to your procedure to discuss your care and address any questions you may have.
Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
